Product Description
Design Concept
Energy‑saving conveyor belts, also known as low‑rolling‑resistance belts, are designed to minimize energy consumption in conveying systems. Since the physical properties of these belts are closely tied to the rubber materials used in their manufacture, the primary focus is on reducing rotational resistance at the belt’s grooves, minimizing hysteresis‑induced heat (as reflected by the mechanical loss tangent), lowering the rubber’s coefficient of friction, and enhancing its elasticity. These measures collectively reduce electrical energy consumption during belt operation, achieving energy savings of 10–20%.
Purpose
This conveyor belt is suitable for long-distance material handling in industries such as mining, port operations, coal processing, and power generation; the longer the conveying distance, the more pronounced the energy-saving benefits.
Analysis of the Working Principle of Energy-Saving Belts
The resistance encountered during conveyor belt operation arises primarily from several factors, including the drag associated with rolling over idlers and the resistance generated by material pressing against the belt. Adhesion and elasticity are two key properties of rubber; through Changqiao Company’s proprietary formulation, these two characteristics have been optimally balanced, resulting in an energy‑saving cover rubber compound.
The energy-saving belt formulation enhances rubber elasticity and minimizes frictional resistance as it passes over the idler rollers, thereby achieving energy savings.
